LATEX PRIMER PAINT

SURFACE PREPARATION
The latex primer must be applied on robust and durable substrates, which are clean, dry and free from dust, grease and other substances reducing adhesion. Before applying the latex primer on dusty substrates, it is important to use the priming agent, e.g. Fixgrunt U. The paintwork can be started when the priming layer has dried, i.e. approx. 6 hours after completion of priming if optimum drying conditions were provided (temperature of +200C, humidity of 60%). 

PRODUCT PREPARATION
Before use, the product should be thoroughly mixed and, if necessary, diluted with water (not more than 5%). Prior to application, check the compliance of the paint’s colour with your order. 

APPLICATION METHOD
The paint should be applied using painting tools, such as a roller or a spraying pistol. In order to achieve the best decorative effect for the final coat (dew or velvet effect paint), it is recommended to paint in a way that creates a coating with as little structure as possible. For this purpose, we recommend spray painting or using a short pile roller, e.g. a velour roller. The next layer of the primer can be applied after at least 2 – 3 hours if optimum conditions were provided (temperature of 20oC and air humidity of 55 ±5%). 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The Francesco GUARDI latex primer paint should be applied at substrate and ambient temperatures of +10oC to +25oC, avoiding direct sunlight during both the application and drying of the paint.
