INTERIOR PROTECTIVE FINISH

The Francesco GUARDI Collezione interior protective finish is a ready to use and clear finish, without any detrimental impact on health, made with a top-quality combination of a polymer resin and hydrophobating additives. Painted surfaces are resistant to moisture, water, contamination and mild cleaning agents. The finish works perfectly with any kind of paint, plasters and structural masses in rooms such as bathrooms, kitchens, corridors etc.

Surface preparation

The surface must be solid, durable, clean, free from dust, dry and free from dirt, grease and other substances impacting the adhesive capacity. Fresh cement and cement-lime plasters should be primed after approx. 4 weeks and gypsum plasters after approx. 2 weeks from completion. Skim coats and surfaces in drywall systems must be cleaned from dust and primed, e.g. with the Fixgrunt U primer. The wall should not leave any traces of white dust when rubbed with the hand. Surfaces covered with paints, plasters or structural mass must be completely dry. Spots covered with mold or fungi should be cleaned mechanically and disinfected with the Biotox Total algaecide and fungicide.

Application method

Mix the product thoroughly before use. The finish should be applied twice using a roller, paintbrush or airless spraying. Apply the second layer once the first layer is dry, i.e. after at least 4 hours. Brief contact with water of the coated surface is admissible already 24 hours after the second layer application. Full performance is achieved after 28 days from applying the last finish layer. Lower air temperatures and higher humidity increase drying time.

Further information

The surface and ambient temperature during work and drying of the finish should be within +10°C and +25°C. Avoid direct sunlight both during application and drying. Consult the product data sheet before use. Ventilate the room until the smell disappears.
